Well, I was dying to know what the heck we were having. I found a place in Woodbridge that would do a gender check for $100. I knew that are chances were slim but I was willing to lose a little dough to find out now. The doctor was very nice and showed us a few things he would normally charge more for. He did one test that is supposed to tell if your baby is at risk for downs, and he said our baby looked very healthy. After all the measurements he looked for gender and sure enough said it was another boy. Greg asked how certain he was and he said 95% so I think we can probably go ahead and start planning for more blue.
Sam was pretty disappointed. He really wanted a sister. Ethan was thrilled either way and Gabe could care less. We've always wanted a large family so Greg says we will just try again, but I'm tired and not getting any younger, so we'll just have to see.
I have another ultrasound in about 6-8 weeks so we will know for sure then (I'm pretty certain now though).

I think he is a beautiful baby... I'll take him! I'm surprised they did the ultrasound on you this early. I was always told that the soonest a gender check could be done was at 14 wks. Of course, ultrasound machines are pretty sophisticated now! Jason wants me to remind you how much money you'll save since the baby is a boy. MEN!
Congratulations?! I know you would love to be having a girl this time around, but boys are lots of fun and with 4 you'll be able to have your own sports team sooner or later (or maybe a Spencer family business?). We can still pray for that small chance that you are carrying a girl, but either way you are sure to be thrilled once this baby arrives. You two are some of the most fertile people I know!
